Jeez I'm bad at this...

Well.

I'm home from England living in Texas with my family for now. I'm heading to Florida soon to be with my new man. More on him later.

I've been finding some pretty sweet shit at the thrift stores here. Mostly clothing.

Found my Halloween costume. A fur hood, an amazing sequin dress, some sexy winter boots from ebay and a homemade muff!

Florentine Pizza (PHOTO!)

I made this on Monday and it was so good I ate the whole thing! Naughty me. It was just too good. I used a cream cheese base because I didn't want to open a can of tomatoes just to use a tiny bit. I didn't actually use black olives, but If I had had them, you know I would have, so I included them in the recipe here.

Ingredients:

Rolled pastry

baby Spinach
1 lightly fried egg
Cheese (I used cheddar and parm.)
Mushroom
Tomato
Cream cheese
tomato puree
Black olives
Garlic cloves

Place pastry on greased cookie sheet.
Mix cream cheese and tomato puree to make enough sauce to cover base.(save 1-2 inches of edge). Slice tom. mushroom. garlic. Tear up spinach leaves.

Spread cream cheese mixture. Add thin layer of cheese. Layer of spinach, then layer or tomato, mushroom, olives, garlic. Place egg in middle. Add another layer of cheese. Bake at 190 C until crust is browning.

I ate mine with chili flakes. Yummy!

Boil together until potatoes are soft.

These taxidermy frogs drinking beer and playing dominoes. Yes. they are dead, stuffed frogs.

No. I didn't buy either of these. Someone did though...

a nice Pasta Salad w/tuna

Mix:

1 can tuna
1tbs mayo
1tbs plain yogurt
2tbs pesto
some pumpkin and sesame seeds
Some cooked pasta
s + p

Yummy and a great way to get some seeds into your diet.

I wish I had a photo for ya'll...I'll remember for next time.

Went swimming in Grantchester Meadows today with James. The water was so clear and the fish were so brave coming up to our ankles. Then we went to the falalfel place and got their awesome 3.80 plate that could feed an entire country. Think 4 huge homemade falafel, homemade hummus, chili salsa, salad and pita bread. Great Cambridge Bargain!

Nothing too interesting today. Stay tuned.

First Post Explaining Shit

Well, I always tell myself I need to write a blog, and finally, I have done so.

This is it. I am Katelyn. Although I think my name is too plain. I literally knew 4 other ones in my class. It was always the "K" Katelyn's against the "C" Caitlin's in my mind.

You know you can change your first name as well as your last when you get married?

I'm changing mine to Hyzenthly (Horny rabbit). Or perhaps Kitty (like the granny not the stripper). Or perhaps Laquita (motel).

Who knows. I sure as hell don't.

More about me:

I'm from Texas, lived in Denver, and am currently in Cambridge, UK.

The thing I miss most is the food (sorry mommy). I'm a HUGE foody. You will probably be getting a lot of sound coming from me about food.
